The Challenge
Apadema faced significant challenges with their outdated website. It was not user-friendly, especially for the target audience, including individuals with intellectual disabilities, their families, and potential supporters. Additionally, the site struggled to attract volunteers and donors, crucial for sustaining Apadema's impactful programs.
Artistic Bird needed to address these issues by creating a modern, accessible, and engaging website. The goal was to ensure that all users, regardless of their technical ability, could easily find the information they needed, get involved with Apadema, and support their cause. This required a complete overhaul of the site's structure, design, and content.
The Strategy
To tackle these challenges, Artistic Bird implemented a multi-faceted strategy. We began with thorough research to understand Apadema's needs, goals, and audience. This included consultations with the Apadema team and feedback from users. Based on these insights, we designed a user-friendly and responsive website that prioritized accessibility and ease of use.
We incorporated clear navigation menus, intuitive layout, and high-contrast visuals to cater to users with varying abilities. The site features detailed service descriptions, an events calendar, and sections for news and success stories. We also added functional elements like donation forms, volunteer sign-up forms, and contact information to facilitate engagement and support. Regular updates and maintenance ensure the site remains relevant and efficient.
